Where we cover

We move to and from Cobham, Oxshott, Weybridge, Guildford and Dorking and Kingswood, as well as Kingston and Surbiton, which are on the border.

The journey

Distances from our Wandsworth base give a sense of the day. Oxshott is around 16 miles, Cobham 17, Weybridge 18 and Dorking 19, each taking roughly 35 to 50 minutes. Guildford is about 28 miles, around 50 to 60 minutes. Build this into your timing, because a long drive in each direction changes how long the day runs.

Access can be very different

Surrey homes often have driveways, gates, long approaches or narrow country lanes, instead of the stairs and kerbside parking of a London flat. Mention gates, steep drives, narrow roads or anything else that affects where a large van can stop. It helps if we know about it at the survey.

Parking and permissions

Where you are moving to is covered by a different council. Some of them, including Elmbridge, Guildford, Mole Valley, and Reigate and Banstead, have their own pages for parking suspensions.
