How we protect floors and walls
Floors, walls, door frames, furniture and high value items are wrapped, padded and protected using professional materials and proven methods. Floor protection goes down where the team will be walking, and doorways and stairwells are protected before large items pass through them.
Record existing damage
Tell us about any existing damage or marks before work begins, so you and the team are looking at the same condition from the start. If damage is not recorded, it is hard to say later what was already there. This matters just as much if you are renting, because deposits depend on the condition of the property.
Photograph before the move
Photograph valuable items, and any marks on walls, floors and furniture, before the team arrives. Date-stamped photos make any later conversation simple and fair for everyone.
Furniture dismantling
Our team will dismantle and reassemble furniture where required, unless we have agreed otherwise. Tell us in advance which pieces need taking apart so we can plan the time. Keep screws and fittings in a labelled bag taped to the piece, so nothing is lost.
Building and landlord rules
Check with your building manager or landlord about rules for communal areas, lift protection and permitted hours. Some buildings insist on protection in lifts and corridors, and some limit when moves can take place, so ask early.
If something is damaged
Tell us promptly, and put it in writing, so it can be dealt with while the details are fresh. Photos help.
Items that need more than standard care
