For UK ↔ Europe moves, we travel and deliver directly - no handovers, no third parties. For worldwide destinations, we work through trusted international partners, subject to local requirements. Every move starts with a survey, usually in person with Bart or a senior manager, with video or client-recorded options for smaller moves - followed by a clear written quotation.
Customs, Packing & Protection
For European moves we handle customs directly; for worldwide moves, our partners manage local clearance, and we guide you through what's needed. All international transport gets export-grade packing - reinforced wrapping, sealed boxes, and extra protection for long-distance transit, with enhanced measures for fragile or high-value items assessed at survey. Self-packing may be accepted case by case, though some items may still need packing by us to meet transport and insurance requirements.
Insurance & Storage
Insurance depends on how your move is carried out: for moves we handle directly, cover is arranged by us; where partners handle part of the journey, it's arranged through them. It's optional but strongly recommended - see our Insurance & Guarantees page for detail. Need UK storage before you ship? We can arrange short or long-term storage prior to export, with no minimum period.
Timeframes
European road moves typically take a few days to two weeks; worldwide sea freight moves typically take several weeks. Exact timing gets confirmed once your route and transport method are set.
